About
Chris Riley earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law in 2020, with a specialization in cybersecurity and information privacy. While in law school, he participated in cybersecurity simulations with the FBI and U.S. Army War College, working alongside senior military officials to navigate complex cyber-related scenarios.
Before joining Melton Law, Chris served as a prosecutor for Salt Lake City, giving him firsthand experience with the criminal justice system from the prosecution side. He also worked as an investigator for the Utah Labor Commission, where he investigated allegations of discrimination in housing and employment.
Chris’s legal interests extend beyond the courtroom. He produced and directed a legal documentary examining election security and campaign finance laws, which was released on Amazon Prime Video ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
At Melton Law, Chris draws on his diverse background as a prosecutor, investigator, and legal researcher to approach criminal cases from multiple perspectives and advocate for clients facing criminal charges.
